Homo Ludens

To consider the definition of ludic behavior corresponding to the present day has been a good reason to organize the international scientific conference "Homo Ludens. Could a play be a source of culture?" as well as to ask questions such as:

• Whether the twenty-first century is the "era of fun" and why playing human can become a symbol of modernity
• If it is true, that fun is in the human nature and it is earlier than the culture as Johan Huizinga assumed, so what faces of Homo Ludens form the past and nowadays could be regarded as a proof of the wagered thesis.

The conference was held on 19th-20th March, 2015 in The Jan Kochanowski University and The Museum of Toys and Play in Kielce, Poland.
